We were fortunate to be providing meals to the homeless, distributing Catching Kindness Cards, surprising unexpecting people with a free cup of coffee in Esther Short Park and some free desserts to restaurant goers at the Hilton Hotel downtown.

McLoughlin Middle School Presentation

The surprise of surprises! What was to be a Kindness Boomerang presentation to a middle school suddenly got a little bigger. Orly and the Kindness Caravan were honored with an unexpected police escort followed by an early performance of the 2017 Dance for Kindness by 200 students at McLoughlin MS. This was followed by a presentation to the entire student body and some basketball at recess.

A great chance to meet with 200 young men and women as we discussed kindness towards others in a Leadership Class workshop. We then inspired the entire students body to join the kindness revolution.

An amazing opportunity to talk to 400 middle and high school students about how they can inspire kindness within their school and throughout their community. Following the presentation the entire student body congregated on the football field creating a hug “L.V.I.” with a heart.

Doernbecher Children’s Hospital

Join the Kindness Caravan as we tour Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, OR. Today we had the chance to tour the amazing facility, experience the hearts of families inside the prayer and meditation room and to top it off play charades, sing songs and do arts and crafts with kids in the cancer wing. Beautiful!

Cormac and Lara brought Sunday Pizza Club to Portland with the help of local pie shops: Pinky’s Pizza, Lovely’s Fifty Fifty and Sizzle Pie. Tonight we were able to hang out and dialogue with our homeless community, share a meal together land enjoy some great music.

Vernonia Middle and High School Presentation

The Kindness Caravan hit the road to Vernonia today to share, dialogue and inspire kindness with their 325 students. Students were engaged in Orly’s presentation and had a great time interacting as Orly and Jason took them on an adventurous workshop. Some of the nicest people we will ever meet. Vernonia rolled out the red carpet for sure!
